I was sick of working for other people and getting no recognition for my hard work, after doing a little research into some different self employment ideas and trying a few self employed business ideas I just couldn’t seem to find something that was going to be a viable option for me. I had tried forex trading and ended up losing a lot of money so from then on many self employment ideas were either too costly to get off the ground or just needed knowledge and skills that I simply didn’t have.

I was still determined that I was going to be self employed and make a success of myself but I had got to the point where I was starting to doubt that it was even going to be possible. But I decided to give it one last shot and was going to focus my energy on making money on the Internet. I had heard stories of people making vast amounts of money online and I just had to get a part of the action.

I had tried a couple of different ways to make money on the Internet such as PPC (pay per click) and although none of them had seemed to work I was sure that it was possible to make a good living from an Internet home based business. That is when I found Google Sniper, which is basically a step by step blueprint of how to make money online, this was the thing that I had been looking for all along because many other Internet marketing products do not show you the complete picture and often leave important parts out which means they just don’t seem to work. But this product was different, it was a complete step by step method of making money from home and I just jumped at the chance to give it a try.

So What Exactly Is Google Sniper?

Google Sniper is a method of creating small blog sites around a certain keyword that will get ranked on the first page of the google search results for that specific word and making money by promoting other peoples products. The best part about it is the fact that you don’t really need any technical experience and as you will be getting free visitors to your site on a daily basis from Google the only on-going costs are that of a hosting account which you can get for less than $10 per month and buying the domain names for around $9.

There are endless amounts of products that you can promote,  one of the most popular places to find products to promote is Clickbank. Clickbank has a marketplace of thousands of information products, mainly e-books but you can also find some software programs as well. This is a great place to find products to promote as you will generally receive 50 to 75% of the purchase value. The problem with this though is that there is a lot of competition around for these kinds of products so it can be a little tricky finding keywords to target that fit in with the Google Sniper system.

But Clickbank is just the tip of the iceberg because many big companies have affiliate programs including Amazon and eBay where you can promote their physical products. So just think for a second how many different products are available on those two sites!! They are HUGE and the potential for making a lot of money with these sites is incredible. The only downside to these type of sites is that unlike Clickbank where you can get up to 75% commission, you’ll generally only get around 4 to 7% of each sale BUT because there is a lot less competition and  practically an endless amount of products it is still a great way to earn money.

So Whats In The Course?

As far as the actual course itself, it is laid out in a really cool way which you don’t see very often. You have the main manual which is 104 pages long so there is plenty of information in there, but the beauty is that when you have read some of the manual you will be instructed to view a video in the members area which corresponds to what you’ve just been reading about and helps you to understand a little better. Because i don’t know about you, but I find that if somebody actually shows me what to do rather than just tells me then it takes all of the guess work away and makes things much easier to understand.

There are eight chapters altogether and it really is a step by step proccess of building these sites and then the final chapter, chapter 8 is about how it is possible to scale your business up to making $10,000 per month.

That is why this course and the system of making money itself is going to be easy for anybody to get the hang of and understand, you don’t even need to have any previous knowledge of building websites or anything like that. In the original Google Sniper course I felt that the keyword research side of things was a little vague which was a shame because that is possible the most important part of making money on the Internet, but the course has now been updated to Google Sniper 2.0 and George  goes into more detail about how to find the best keywords to target. That being said though, the keyword research side of things is probably the most important part and it really does just take a bit of time and patience to master so my advice would be to take as much time as you need to find the perfect keyword before moving on, I know it can be pretty frustrating if you are finding it hard to get the perfect keyword but in the end it is much better to take more time on this stage because if you choose the wrong keyword then you could potentially be wasting your time.

As self employment opportunities go, this has to be one of the best options in my opinion. If you are thinking about going self employed then choosing to make money online is the most accessible, cheap and rewarding way to go. I have bought several different courses over the years about Internet marketing and how to make money on the Internet but most have just had parts of the puzzle missing and you have to try and figure it out on your own, but with this there is no guess work it’s just a blueprint to make money, simple as that. With the unseasonably good weather we’ve had here in the UK recently it has made me think about one of the hardest things that you will face when you are self employed…..self discipline! As warm, sunny days are often few and far between in the UK I just had to take some time off and get out there and take advantage of the great weather.

Making sure you have self discipline can be even more important if you have an Internet based business because it can be so easy to take a day off here and there, which is absolutely fine to do every once in a while but if you start to make a habit of it then it could quite easily have a negative affect on your profits and even your business in general.

But the biggest piece of advice I can give about making money on the Internet is to never give up! It can seem at times like you aren’t getting anywhere or that what your doing just doesn’t seem to be working but as long as you keep trying your best and find something that works then you WILL make it work and become successful!

With the recent job cuts and unemployment at an all time high more people have been forced to look into becoming self employed in order to make ends meet and provide for their families. Although on the face of it self employment may seem like the perfect option, being your own boss and doing a job that you love, it also has it’s down sides. So if you are thinking about becoming self employed it is a good idea to way up all of the pros and cons of self employment before jumping straight in at the deep end.

So as you can see the pros do seem to out-way the cons but it is important to remember that staying motivated and having your family rely on you to succeed is something that some people will find too difficult and these people would be better suited to working for others and playing it safe.

One of the best things about being self employed in my opinion is the fact that anybody, whatever age can become successful even if you have no qualifications to speak of. It is accessible to anybody but only the most dedicated and determined people are going to be able to make it big. Is that going to be you?

If you think that you are now ready to leave your current job, or if your unemployed start a new business on your own then the next step would be to try and find something that you can make into a profitable business. If you are going to be running a business yourself then I definitely think that you should be doing something that you enjoy, otherwise you may start to have motivational problems down the line and that could spell disaster!

I’m sure you’ve heard of these envelope stuffing work at home programs that are always being advertised. Now at first glance you may think it is an easy way of how to make extra money when they say that a stay at home mom is making $1000+ every week from stuffing these envelopes, but you have to ask yourself , if it is so easy to make that much money shoving things in envelopes then everybody would be rich right?

Obviously they are trying to sell their product/service to people but with these kind of ‘easy money’ opportunities you MUST look into the small print or better yet talk to somebody who has actually signed up already.

There are many of these types of scams about these days in a wide variety of different forms and it can be pretty easy for people to get sucked in with the promises of thousands of dollars. But don’t just go diving into something head first without doing a little research first. Talk to people, read the small print and you won’t get ripped off by these scams that seem to be getting more and more popular.

Some people do not feel comfortable having to work for somebody else and this is why more and more people are turning to self employment opportunities. There are many up sides to being self employed such as being your own boss, working the hours you want but it does take a certain kind of person because you have to be motivated and determined to succeed!

Here are a few ideas that you may want to look into if you are thinking about becoming self employed:

Drop Shipping

This is a great way to sell physical products because you do not have to buy a load of stock up front and find somewhere to store them. One of the main sites people utilize for these kind of small business ideas is EBay or other auction sites, although you can create your own website to sell the products if you have experience in generating traffic online because the “build it and they will come” mentality will not get you very far in this kind of business.

Create Products

If you have a skill or passion in a particular area or niche then you may want to think about creating some kind of information product (e-book). The good thing about this is the fact that you can sign up to sites like Clickbank.com and other people will promote your products for you. They will receive the majority of the sale price, usually 50%-75%. but as you do not have any overheads you still stand to earn a lot of money with other people doing all of the work. But you do need to have a very valuable product that people are willing to spend money on though otherwise nobody will want to buy it and you would have spent a lot of time and effort for no reason.

Writing

If you have a flair for writing then there are plenty of self employment opportunities for becoming a freelance writer in newspapers, magazines or even online.

These a just a few things that you might be interested in but there are dozens of other self employment ideas, the best thing to do would be to think about the things that you enjoy doing or are passionate about and see if it is viable to turn your hobbies into full time self employed work. So as you can see, there are a few ideas for self employment home based jobs but i would say that the internet is the best way to go because you can get started straight away and you don’t have to spend lots of money just to find out that your self employed business ideas didn’t work out as you had originally hoped.
